Hiking to Ausangate 7 Lagoons 1 Day
This full-day hike takes you to the heart of the Ausangate region, home to glaciers, colorful lagoons, herds of alpacas, and the sacred mountain of Apu Ausangate (6,384 m).
Located in the remote community of Pacchanta, the Seven Lakes of Ausangate—Otorongo, Puca Q’ocha, Alqa Q’ocha, Patacocha, Azulcocha, China Otorongo, and others—offer a spectacular combination of turquoise, green, blue, and red tones created by natural minerals and glacier melt. It is one of the most beautiful and less crowded destinations near Cusco.
This adventure is perfect for travelers who want real contact with nature, high Andean landscapes, and a unique trekking experience far from mass tourism.
