🌄 Why Choose Ausangate for a Mountain Biking Tour?
Unlike any other biking trail in Peru, the Ausangate route offers a rare combination of elements that elevate it to a bucket-list level experience:
- Sacred landscapes: Ride through the slopes of the majestic Ausangate, considered an Apu (mountain spirit) by the local Quechua people.
- Multi-color terrain: Rainbow Mountain, Red Valley, turquoise lagoons, and glacier views all in one journey.
- Living Inca culture: You’ll pass through remote villages where Quechua is spoken, and alpacas roam freely.
- Altitude challenge: Push your physical boundaries with passes over 4,900 meters.
“You’ll ride through dramatic downhill trails with views of the glaciers, traverse technical singletracks, and camp at over 4,600 meters above sea level — surrounded by complete silence, stars, and mountains that seem to breathe.” — (Rider’s Experience)
