Itinerary
04:30 am – Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco
Early morning departure from Cusco in our private transport, heading south through the scenic Andean highlands. Along the way, you’ll see traditional villages, farmlands, and grazing llamas and alpacas.
07:00 am – Breakfast in Cusipata
We stop in the small town of Cusipata to enjoy a hot breakfast and energize for the day ahead.
08:00 am – Drive to Rainbow Mountain trailhead
After breakfast, we continue for about 1.5 hours to the starting point near Rainbow Mountain.
Morning – Push to the summit
From the trailhead, we begin the adventure by pushing our bikes uphill along the high-altitude path, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and vibrant Andean landscapes, until we reach the summit of Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) at 5,200 m / 17,060 ft.
Late Morning – Downhill to the Red Valley
From the summit, we begin our thrilling descent into the Red Valley, a surreal landscape of deep crimson hills and unique Andean flora and fauna. The trail features exciting technical sections and breathtaking panoramic views.
Midday – Continue to Pitumarca Canyon
Our ride continues from the Red Valley towards the impressive Pitumarca Canyon, a hidden natural wonder with dramatic rock formations and quiet Andean scenery.
01:30 pm – Picnic lunch with a view
We pause for a freshly prepared picnic lunch, enjoying the peace of the high Andes.
Afternoon – Return to Cusco
After lunch, we ride a final stretch before meeting our private transport for the return trip.
